Requirements and Records




ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

In general, the requirements for admission to any particular program that is or will be offered by Walker University - International Institute of Supplementary Education, are set by the Dean of the Departmentand approved by the Board of Trustees. In most instances the candidates must have, in addition to the general background, an undergraduate degree with sufficient concentration in the graduate subject of the program he or she intends to apply.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

Tuition and fees of the University are established from time to time to cover the cost of providing student with the educational program for which he or she is enrolled. The regulations concerning tuition, fees and methods and timing of payments are to be considered a part of the enrolment agreement to be signed by each student upon their respective entrance to the Walker University - International Institute of Supplementary Education.

 

DISCLOSURE OF THE RECORDS TO PERSONS OTHER THAN STUDENTS

Except as otherwise specifically required by the Act and the regulations promulgated thereunder or as provided herein, the Walker University - International Institute of Supplementary Education will not disclose records of the student, except upon the student's written consent.


The exception:

- University or State officials or authorities to whom dislosure is specifically required pursuant to statute adopted prior to November 19, 1974.

- In connection with a financial aid application, but only to the extent necessary to determine eligibility for the conditions of and the amount of any financial aid to be awarded.

- Compilation of a student directory giving routine information regarding the students in attendance at the Walker University - International Institute of Supplementary Education. Any student not wishing information regarding them be contained in any directory may, annually, request, in writing, to have delete from such directory any information regarding themselves.



CORRECTION OF RECORDS

To the extent that a student believes, upon review of his or her file, that there is materially inaccurate information contained in his or her record, then the student may petition to Committee on Academic Honesty to insert corrections in the student's record if the Walker University - Institute of Supplementary Education fails to do so upon written request of the student.
In the event the student has a complaint concerning the alleged failure of the Walker University - Institute of Supplementary Education, then student may address a complaint to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act Office (FERPA) U.S. Dept. Of Edication.
